Shout out to the Lucas's

So, here's the deal Sara & Blair - you haven't updated your blog in what, 5 weeks? I have been keeping my blog updated better than you have. Sure, maybe it's because I've been unemployed for the last month & I haven't done a damn thing most days. Maybe it's because I think I'm clever & write about silly things & cute little girls. But really, all that matters is that you two haven't updated your blog & it is killing me! Literally, killing me. I might die. I was thinking we could come up with some sort of deal where you update the blog, or post pictures of your new house & then I could babysit your kids (when you have them) in return. Sure, that might be a ways away, but the offer is on the table. Take it or leave it. That's all I have. For now.

Taryn & Grandma

I went & got Taryn yesterday & brought her to Fool Creek with me to spend the weekend with Grandma Rita. I really like hanging out with my mom & since my dad is gone this weekend, I figured she wouldn't want to spend it all by herself. Taryn is a little talker - she just jabbers all the time, it's so cute. Today she was playing hide & seek with me, she would stand right behind me & just sit there laughing. I think she may have been a little delirious & ready for her nap. She found some sunglasses this morning, so she was wearing them around for a little bit. I know she likes to hang out on the bottom stair at her house, & she was doing it here too. It was so funny. She found a little cup that fits perfectly in her hand, so I would pour a little bit of water in it & she would carry it around & drink the water, or just dump it on the floor. Grandma taught her to say "Isaac" last night, so now when we point to a picture of Isaac she said his name. It's adorable. And she says Mama & Papa when we point to pictures of Ian & Brenda. Pretty soon she'll be talking all the time & we'll actually be able to understand her! Thanks Ian & Brenda for letting us have such a fun little buddy this weekend!

weekend fun..

This last weekend was so much fun. I rode down to St. George with Sara & Blair on Friday & we watched Blair play softball on Friday night. Saturday morning, Sara & I ran a 10k. I went & got my hair done after, & then went back to the fields. Blair's team ended up taking 5th I think. We got a flat tire on the way down to St. George though, so me & Blair changed it. We've decided we're going to try & get in on a competition if we can for the fastest tire changing team or something like that. We did it in about 10 minutes & we were both impressed with ourselves. I had a lot of fun hanging out with Sara & Blair. We were laughing a lot on the way down, most of it was at Blair, but some was with him. I love running with Sara & we actually ran the whole race together. We don't usually do that, but Sara wasn't feeling well, so she was nice & ran slow with me the whole time. We made it in an hour flat, which was great for me because I shaved 5 minutes off my last time. I don't have any pictures of the race yet, but when I get them, they will definitely be going up.

I had a blast at the ball fields, I got to see Ash & Jake Abbott & Cory & Jamie Webb. I hadn't seen any of them forever, so it was fun to talk to them & catch up on what everybody's doing. Ash, I'm sad we didn't get a picture together or something, but we'll have to for sure next time!

Saturday night Me & Meg went & had tinfoil dinners & it was so fun! They were so good. I hadn't made them in a good 2 or 3 years, so I was glad that I hadn't lost my touch.
On the mini-roadtrip back to Delta.

Getting ready to eat our delicious dinners! It was freezing in Delta compared to the flippin 80 degrees in St. George!

Mandi Jean..

My friend Mandi came & visited me this weekend & we had such a blast together! Thursday night after she flew in we went to dinner at Pei Wei (it's one of our favorites). Then on Friday we went & got pedicures & massages - don't worry, I included a picture of our cute toes. I had never had a professional massage before & let me just say it was amazing. The girl was putting some serious muscle into it, & at one point she may or may not have been up on top of the table. Just kidding. She wasn't. But if I didn't look back to check out the situation I would have thought she was on all fours. Then on Friday night we went to dinner at this place in Cottonwood Heights called Trio. It was so good. It's one of those places where they are more concerned about the appearance of the food than they are the taste, but luckily for us it tasted really good. Saturday we went to breakfast at Ruth's Diner (my favorite) & then went to the Gateway & did some shopping, & saw a movie. We saw The Express. It was a really cool show, I liked it. And, I saw the previews for The Soloist with Robert Downey Jr. & Jamie Foxx. And I can't wait to see that. So I'm looking forward to that. Anyway, Saturday afternoon we went to my niece Ella's first birthday party. She did NOT like the cake all over her hands. It was pretty cute. She was flinging it everywhere. Saturday night we had dinner at The Pizza Factory in Provo. We use to go eat there a lot together like 5 years ago when Mandi lived in Utah, so we had to go just for old times sake. It was a pretty eventful weekend & I'm so glad Mandi came to see me. It was nice to have an entire weekend of not thinking about school related things. I can honestly say I was exhausted last night & I slept all through the night! It was great!

unemployed

So, we had a company meeting this morning & my boss informed us that he's closing the company because he's having some personal issues that he needs to deal with. So as of October 31, I will be unemployed. I'm only posting about this so that if anyone knows of anywhere that is hiring that will work around my stupid school schedule, you can let me know about it. I have school Tuesday & Thursday afternoons, so I can only work til about noon those days. But Monday, Wednesday, & Fridays I am available all day.
Thanks.
